Win Tickets for the Argentine Film Festival in London!

The Argentine Film Festival is coming to London for the third time and will take place at the Ritzy cinema and Hackney Picturehouse. It is a unique showcase for the best contemporary films from and about Argentina, and the only festival of its kind in Europe, the Argentine Film Festival will once again include a programme of 10 contemporary features, as well as the Nuevos Talentos section with a selection of 7 short films by some of Argentina’s most promising young directors. In addition, this year the festival will feature a dedicated wine hub, Punto Argento, at the Gallery Bar at Hackney Picturehouse, with a hand-picked selection of Argentine wine, including Malbec, Pinot Grigio or Bonarda courtesy Argento Wines, and as well as tango performances from the Tango Light dancers in between screenings.

The movie An all-ages dance party through the kitchens, gardens and living rooms of Buenos Aires. Dozens of real people, identified simply by name and occupation, do his or her thing for the duration of a single dance track. WILD TALES (Relatos salvajes) the riotous black comedy by Argentine director Damian Szifron and produced by the Almodovar brothers - which took Cannes Film Festival by storm earlier in the year - will open the third Argentine Film Festival, London to be held this November 27th to 30th.

The film, which formed part of the Official Selection at Cannes Film Festival in 2014 has already sold more than 2 million tickets in its native Argentina, and is one of a number of blockbuster films which form part of the programme at this year’s festival. Sofia Serbin de Skalon, the Festival’s Director said: “We’re delighted to be back for our third edition with a knock-out programme that includes three of Argentina’s highest-grossing films from the last 18 months, as well as some amazing gems from the international festival circuit and some unique documentaries.
